They're not any indication of middle class outrage.
Here's part of the Media Matters piece, quoting right-wing looney host Rush Limbaugh:
And also, I find it fascinating that all these Democrats are -- exactly what we said last week -- they're starting to refer to these town hall meetings as unruly mobs; we can't promise security.
No, no, no. These are orderly people. These are genuine, voting American citizens. It is -- what these Democrats are accusing you of doing, who go to these town hall meetings, is exactly what Obama taught people to do. He's the community agitator. He's the community organizer. Obama is the guy who taught people how to show up at events like this over and over again and rip 'em apart, and tear 'em down, disrupt 'em and make sure they don't happen.
And now the tables have been turned. It's happening to him. Only, this time, it's not ginned up; it's genuine. It's real. People do not want this. [Premiere Radio Networks' The Rush Limbaugh Show, 8/4/09]
Oh really, Rush, like in busing these folks to events even though they don't even live in the districts represented by Democrats? Oh, as if disrupting the events are not going to be seen as efforts to suppress real discussion on healthcare reform because of the lack of good arguments against the proposal?
At least to me, the protesters' behavior remind me of old 1930's films about how Hitler's thugs suppressed free speech and attacked their critics in Germany.
Is THIS the kind of action Limbaugh, his allied right-wing hosts, and the Fox Republican Advocacy Channel applaud?
It's time the American people stand up to the right wing's thuggery, overcome their intimidation, and force the passage of real healthcare reform.
